Fowles hit two free throws to forge a tie with 1:21 remaining, but Parker got an offensive rebound off a Sidney Spencer miss, and hit one foul shot to give Tennessee the lead for good.

Quianna Chaney then missed on a drive to the hoop for LSU, giving the Lady Vols the ball with 40.5 seconds left.Bobbitt missed a three-pointer from the left corner, but Spencer secured the offensive rebound and Bobbitt was fouled with 11.8 seconds left and made two from the charity stripe.

Chaney missed a bank three-pointer and Fowles couldn't convert on a short follow shot in the closing seconds.

Alberta Auguste made a pair of foul shots with 0.8 seconds left for the Lady Vols.

Parker had 20 points at the half, two less than the entire LSU team, as the Lady Vols led by eight at intermission. However, LSU started the second on a surge, and Chaney's layup had the home team within 32-31. It remained tight until the end.
